One of the most famous butterflies is the Monarch butterfly. Their scientific name is Danus Plexippus. Monarch butterflies are orange and have a lot of white spots. Those spots warn predators to not eat them. They are poisonous to their predators so they cannot get eaten. They will travel 3,000 miles to Mexico from America to stay out of the cold!
