But then I read the post on daringfireball that was trying to drill things home for people:

Gizmodo isn’t being “punished severely for publishing information gained by others in unsavory ways”; they are being investigated by law enforcement for committing a felony themselves.

And then I read the note that Gizmodo received from Apple two months prior, stating that they shouldn’t give cash incentives to people that find leaked prototypes from Apple, because this sort of incentive is promoting people to break the law (breaking the law is illegal, FYI), and that this sort of action is against the law in itself.  Well F – they knew this was going to happen!

I’m now of the mind that Gizmodo is just a bunch of juvenile journalists…

A recent article from Flurry shows the promise of the future iPhone market through it’s iTouch users.  The idea is that all the younger people that own the iPod Touch are going to be the same people that later buy an iPhone when they can afford phone plans.

When today’s young iPod Touch users age by five years, they will already have iTunes accounts, saved personal contacts to their iPod Touch devices, purchased hundreds of apps and songs, and mastered the iPhone OS user interface. This translates into loyalty and switching costs, allowing Apple to seamlessly “graduate” young users from the iPod Touch to the iPhone.

What a diabolical plan!

App developer Moliker has allegedly been scamming the app store by creating fraudulent reviews for its applications, of which it has over 1000.  That’s a lot of apps!  Apple has pulled them all from the App Store for the time being.  Read more at AppleInsider.com.

The Zune HD was finally announced officially by Microsoft on Tuesday. Here are the quick details:

• The Zune HD is targeted at the iPod Touch – it’s not a phone.  (Darn)
• The screen is slightly smaller than the iPhone (480×272 vs 480×320), but so is the device.
• The screen is OLED.
• Multitouch is enabled, but they didn’t give details about how well it would work.
• Zune HD will play HD content through an adapter only – not onto the Zune’s screen.
• More details will be announced at E3.

There are three things that stick out to me:

• Microsoft said that the Zune HD is not a ZunePhone, and that they’re not building a ZunePhone. However, Microsoft is still working on a phone offering that will integrate into your Zune music.  This ties in with what Microsoft is saying about driving their Zune brand “deeper” into the Microsoft community.
• Zune HD Radio?  Cool.
• The development story for the Zune was unannounced, besides their statement about it running on a highly modified version of Windows CE – which really means the development story could like like anything.
