I started checking out some of the reviews for the Blackberry Storm today because I had previously posted that I thought Verizon was finally starting to come around with a phone that might give customers a little more hesitation before they leave Verizon for AT&T so they can get the iPhone. I think the Blackberry Storm offers a little more competition – but it’s still not an iPhone.
Here are a few reviews to get you started. This is in no way a comprehensive
- BlackBerry Storm review: Ineligant touch screen doesn’t live up to the hype. What I got out of this review: screen touch feature sucks, but possibly just needs a software update; screen LOOKS great; 3.2 Megapixel camera is a plus – and it takes videos; sort of slow for power users; no wifi is a big downer.
- BlackBerry Storm: better for business than the iPhone? What I got out of this review: didn’t like the two different keyboards (landscape and portrait keyboards are different); Storm has a removable and replaceable battery, unlike the iPhone; web browsing still not quite there – rendering pages isn’t quite right for the small screen; Storm has built-in noise canceling for call and voice quality; more media centric than other BlackBerries, but iPhone still has the lead in media experience; Summary – BlackBerry Storm is great, but still second best to iPhone for most uses.
- BlackBerry Storm Review (Verdict: Not Quite a Perfect Storm) What I got out of this review: lot of pictures!
- Engadget’s BlackBerry Story Review. What I got out of this review: the highly touted screen doesn’t really make it easier to use; keyboard typing is difficult because of the screens push-to-click interface; copy-paste has been elegantly implemented!; Web browsing is an upgrade from before; third-party software is minimal still (of course).
I’ll leave the rest of the reviews for you to find on your own.
