Macbook. Apple Discount. Go Time.

I broke down and bought it.  The new 13″ Unibody MacBook.  I have a 17″ Macbook Pro from work, but I’m a software developer that’s forced to stay in Windows most of the time.  I felt that this warranted the expensive purchase of a more portable 13″ MacBook that provided better mobility and, most of all, a better operating system – OS X.

The real catch was that my buddy at Apple hooked me up with a 25% discount.  I saved a total of $480.  I recommend that you also get a MacBuddy.  With savings this great I couldn’t pass up the opportunity.  I have to say that I am loving it so far (the past 3 hours that I’ve had it open).

What am I going to do with my MacBook?  Software Development!  I’m primarily a Windows developer but I’m hoping to balance out my skill set with some good old hot chocolate… er… Cocoa.  I’ve done some poking around in the iPhone SDK and am a part of the developer program, but haven’t had the time to produce anything wonderful.  Well… now it’s go time.
