iPhone SDK unlocked
As some of you may know, the iPhone SDK that was released by Apple is not 100% of the tools that Apple uses to make their own programs. It’s been speculated by open source developers that there’s only about 75% of the SDK exposed through Apple’s version of the SDK.
Apple’s iPhone SDK is not the only solution. Coders have been making application for the iPhone long before Apple came out with an SDK. There’s an open source toolchain for compiling iPhone applications that some genius coders put together. To my knowledge, this toolchain unlocks 99.9% of the system.
Unfortunately, I can’ t find this out for myself because I’ve been spending the last few days pounding my head against the desk trying to get this toolchain to compile. While the toolchain is supported on multiple operating systems, I’m only trying to install it on my mac machine running the latest version of Leopard, which many people have been having trouble with.
